I have been on a hiatus from photography for the longest time in my journey as a hobbyist photographer.
I attributed this to the following factors:
1) lack of time
2) the lack of drive
3) the lost of spark
All these boiled down to one significant personal event - the demise of my Father.
Since the demise of my Father, I experienced many losses. The fatherly figure who inspired me to do photography. He was always there when I took a new photo and he would share his criticisms and told me how I could improve on my shots. I always felt so excited then whenever I took a new shot. But since his demise, I just lost total interest in photography.
Now that I'm back, I question why I'm doing photography. For him or for myself?
I keep asking myself - what led me to photography? what will keep me going?
I think it's time that I bring some closure to that and get back to photography; this time doing it for myself because it's my passion, my interest.

Featured in Noise Singapore 2014
Just last week, I received news that one of work "Inverted Reality" is shortlisted to be exhibited for the Noise Singapore 2014 Festival Showcase.
It is truly a wonderful news. I never expect that my work will get selected amongst the other thousands of great pieces of work.
It is definitely a great boost to me given how I have felt like giving up doing photography.
I would like to thank the people who believe in me, mostly you Zebra(if you are reading this), and also to the many friends here at the DeviantArt community who have so supportive and have inspired me in anyway.
More importantly, thank you Father.
I have made you proud.

To the other world, it is.
Today, a great news came in to fill the disappointment that I had been filling for a couple of days now. My shortlisted photo made it to the final round of selection and will be featured at the Noise Exhibition along with other awesome artists.
Thank you whoever who made this happen.
It might be you Father :)
Thank you.
I know you are always watching me in, in ways that are unheard and unseen. But I know you will always be there for me.
This achievement, is for you because the artwork was titled "To the other world".
& I know that wherever you are in the other world, you will be happy for me
Woot!
One of my workpiece got shortlisted to be running as NOISE Exhibition! Here's the piece:

What you say?
It's not what you say but rather how you say it that makes the difference
